Prepared for emergencies at all times - that is the goal of the emergency organization and the site fire department at the GENDORF Chemical Park. To ensure that all procedures are also carried out routinely in cooperation with other emergency and relief forces as well as authorities, a large-scale emergency exercise takes place once a year. Using a variety of realistic scenarios, the company's alarm concepts are put to the test and the professional emergency response of almost 200 internal and external emergency personnel is trained. This is where it is put to the test whether all measures and responsibilities function properly in critical situations - because in an emergency, this is exactly what counts.
Many volunteer fire departments as well as relief workers from the THW (German Federal Agency for Technical Relief), the Red Cross, and authorities such as the police, district administration, and disaster control are involved in the annual exercise at the GENDORF Chemical Park.
